We had fun taking our friends Gene and Cookie to Kountry Kitchen Restaurant for Gene’s 86th birthday brunch. The staff there know him, so when I told them we were celebrating his birthday, they brought his pancake with a lit candle and began singing Happy Birthday to him as they arrived.

I love this picture of him.

After he blew out his candle, the rest of us were served our breakfast.

Cerwin chose an omelet and potatoes

I got my favorite breakfast: one egg over light, a few slices of bacon, and an English muffin. I have 1/2 of the muffin with my meal and add jelly to the second half for my dessert.
