Brenda drove each evening (half an hour drive) for which I was thankful because I do not like driving at night anymore.
Just after leaving the Martindale Church on Tuesday night, we hit a skunk. Actually, we didn’t hit it – it hit us by coming at us from the side. We caught it with rear tires. Last night we were almost at our place when a buck ran in front of us. Brenda braked and it missed hitting us.
It is good we are not going a third time. There would probably be a cow or horse on the road. ![]()
I drive short distances at night, now, but don’t enjoy it.
I will drive at night, but only if I have to.
So thankful the Lord protected you! Hitting a buck can be really bad, as I’ve known someone to whom that happened.
Yes, hitting a skunk was one thing. And the smell was only slight. Brenda said it was gone by morning. A deer is another thing.
