Jordan and Nicole’s Wedding

We were delighted to add a new granddaughter to our family on Saturday, January 20.

It was the day after a snowstorm. However, roads were open “mostly” and we didn’t hear of anyone who could not get to the wedding through the snow-covered back roads to Osbornia Farm, Quarryville, PA.

We arrived about an hour early, just after the photographers finished taking wedding party photos. Some of the guys were on the first floor warming up after being outside for a while.

Gifts and cards

I always enjoy seeing what our daughter-in-law Kristen does with photos for a wedding gift to their nieces and nephews. Jordan and Nicole’s were on a large H – for their last name High. The upper right photo is distorted by the glare of the 1st floor lighting.

I took this photo from my seat in the audience prior to the wedding. Photos were not permitted during the ceremony. This was where they shared their journey of love, vows, rings, communion and received their parent’s blessing.

The officiant was Pastor Matt Swords.

Following the ceremony everyone (but immediate family) went downstairs for charcuterie board delicacies and drinks while the photographers took family pictures.

This family is growing in 2024, they not only added Nicole, but Lauree, Diana and Gloria are pregnant. Zach and Gloria’s baby is due in early February – and he knew exactly how far it was to the hospital where their little girl will be born. 🙂

Nicole is an only child so is having fun adjusting to a large family.

With five of Jordan’s six nieces and nephews. Emmy was with a babysitter since Nate and Lauree were both in the wedding party.

With his grandparents. Thanks Diana for taking this picture.

I somehow missed the photo with her grandparents.

By the time we went downstairs, the room was alive with the sound of many people visiting.

This space was provided for their guests to take Polaroid photos. I was able to get a shot of the new husband and wife.

It is not very often that all four of our children are in one place – and dressed up – for a sibling photo.

The second floor (where the ceremony had been held) was quickly transformed into a place for the reception.

Nicole had fun surprising Jordan with a buck and doe top piece for their cake. He is an avid hunter.

Zach and Gloria being introduced at the beginning of the reception.

Ryan Groff escorting a bridesmaid to her table.

Coleman Wagner heading to the table where his wife was waiting for him – after taking a matron of honor to her table.

Cerwin was asked to have prayer before the meal.

The food was served buffet-style. Everyone went downstairs for the delicious meal.

Dessert was found on this donut board, along with specialty drinks and coffee.

Jeff with their youngest grandchild, Harper. It won’t be long before she has to relinquish that title to Zach and Gloria’s baby girl.

Best Man, Nate, sharing his speech which included several funny brother episodes that we remembered. 🙂 He closed with a blessing on their marriage.

Oh, how we wish God’s best blessings on their marriage.
