Swimming at Refreshing Mountain

I was pleased that it suited each of our Pennsylvania great-grandchildren to go swimming on Tuesday. This was their 2021 birthday gift from us. Above you can see Jenna and Jade, Jasmine and Abby and Bennett and Diana. (Jenna, Abby and Diana are granddaughters.)

Anthony (his mom is Abby)

Tucker and Jesse.

This day came about because Tucker was spending more than a week at Jere and Kristen’s house. Josh, Emily and Tucker live in Philadelphia.

I told Kristen that I would like to take Tucker and Jesse swimming while she was in the area. I asked Kristen to choose a day when she was busy. She chose Tuesday. I messaged Jenna, Abby and Diana – the day suited each of them to bring their children. I scheduled the 11 am shift with the pool’s online scheduling.

Jesse (grandson) was Tucker’s “adult” while at the pool.

Cerwin went along to watch the babies – Drake and Natalie.

Natalie made it easy for him by sleeping the whole time.

I see an Abby face when I look at her.

Bennett and Diana in the foreground. You can see Jade, Jenna, Jasmine and Anthony in the background. Abby is hidden behind Jenna.

Diana had to keep Bennett from wandering over to the diving area. Yikes!

You aren’t quite ready for diving, Bennett.

Sisters – Jenna and Diana with Jade and Bennett. Jade and her mom had matching swimsuits.

Anthony enjoyed the “waterfalls”.

Jade had fun “swimming”.

We enjoyed lunch (from the snack shop) before leaving. Because of COVID the swim times are scheduled. We were scheduled from 11:00 am until 1:50 pm. When we left, the staff cleaned the area to be ready for the 2 pm swimmers.

Notice the line of people on the other side of the fence. They are waiting for the gates to open. The next shift was from 2:00 pm until 4:50 pm.

Abby needed someone to watch Anthony for the afternoon. Tucker was also delighted to come to our house for awhile. In this photo they are having something to drink – while watching PAW Patrol.

Later they had grilled cheese sandwiches and root beer floats for supper.

Tucker said, “Grandma High, take a picture of us looking surprised by what is happening on PAW Patrol. Anthony, look surprised.” Oh, the joys and imaginations of 7 and 8 year-olds. šŸ™‚
