Rainbow

Tuesday Evening, August 11

Following a quick rainfall with immediate sunshine, I knew it was time to grab my camera and take the car around our neighborhood block. With tall corn and all the trees, my first good sighting of the rainbow was after my first turn on the road – next to the dairy barn.

My next good sighting was just before Eli’s farm.

When you are driving during a rainbow, you can make the rainbow end in almost any spot.

The right side of this shot is close to our house.

This is just next to our house. About this time I decided to go back to the Homestead to capture a few more shots.

The sky to the east was beginning to clear.

My best view was when I drove up the back driveway to the barn.

There was a slight double rainbow.

A rainbow is always a reminder of God’s promise (in Genesis) to never again flood the entire earth. As I stood here next to the car I could almost hear Him making that promise.

My final picture was taken after I got home and walked to the edge of the cornfield at the lower part of our yard.
