It was a beautiful evening. Shortly after we arrived, I asked Jeff if I may walk to the meadow to see the cattle and new calves. He said, “Sure. I’ll go along.”

You can tell that they know him.

Chris and Jade came to join us.

We walked toward the back of the meadow to see the newest calf who was resting at the base of a tree.

She was soon up and looking for her mom.

Her mom noticed and hurried toward her new baby.

On our way back to the house I noticed that Jeff had a nice field of alfalfa and timothy – and I think there is another variety. He likes the mixture for feeding his cattle.

Jade enjoyed being with Grandpa and Grandma High.
