Brethren Disaster Relief Auction – Main Auction

Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28

This is where everyone got Main Auction numbers for bidding.

Items for purchase by bidding.

Decorations on the stage – also for bidding toward the end of the auction on Saturday.

Kevin and Ray – son and father – do a lot to organize this auction.

Earl and Marian also help keep the auction functioning smoothly.

Friday evening Praise and Worship before the auction – about 5:00 pm.

Welcome by Tom – co-chairman of the event.

Disaster Relief updates.

And the Friday evening auction begins!

I always enjoy watching these young siblings sell the things they baked from “grow money” they received the year before.

I bought a warm peach pie from one of the girls. Look at the fancy decorations on the top lattice crust. Since I was busy bidding it up, I didn’t have time to take a picture of the girl holding it. It was delicious – especially after I got home that evening – when it was warm.

Opening Devotions on Saturday morning

I came into North Hall a bit late – due to taking the 5K Run pictures – so missed the introduction of these two men.

The auction began at 8:50 am.

The young siblings were back with more baked items.

This is the young lady who made the pie I purchased the night before. She had two more peach pies for Saturday.

I enjoyed watching him as the price for his pumpkin bread went up and up.

Most of the baked items went for close to or more than $100.00 each.

These young people brought in more than $700.00 with their baked items – when Friday and Saturday’s auctions were combined.

It was a great day!
