The Boys are Here

Photos taken: Thursday Evening, February 1 through Sunday Evening, February 4

Jere and Kristen’s three youngest boys are here while they are on a business and vacation trip to New Zealand.

The first thing Jesse did when Cerwin picked him up after school was check his parents flight path. (I think they were just landing in Charlotte.) They left Harrisburg, connected in Charlotte, flew to LAX in California, then on to Auckland, New Zealand. It was a long trip, so we had lots of time to follow their plane. Their flight from LAX to Auckland was 12 1/2 hours.

When Ian got here, I said, “Let’s take a picture to prove that you are now taller than me.” Since I am 5′ 7′, he must be about 5′ 9″.

Jesse wants the job of cleaning the kitchen floor while they are here.

First he swept, then he used the wet mop.

This is his favorite job. He calls it polishing our floor.

They spend a lot of their free time in our man cave playing games on the Xbox.

At this point Jared was on the cell phone. They take turns because most games are two-player – and we only have two controls.

On Sunday, after church, we included their big brother Josh in a lunch date at McDonalds. If you look closely, you can see that it is snowing.

Because there was a lot of inactivity on Saturday and Sunday, I told them that each one must walk or run a quarter mile on our treadmill.

Jared wasn’t sure how it would work with his “boot” – which he was wearing due to a broken toe – but he has learned to like it and feels like it is good therapy for his toe.

After a time or two, he removed the boot and is now able to wear his sneaker on that foot. πŸ™‚

He goes to the treadmill and runs as soon as he gets home from school.

Ian seeing how fast he can run.

They usually go to bed by 8 pm on school nights, but they had permission to stay up to watch the Super Bowl. Since they are all three Eagles fans, there was a lot of noise coming from the man cave. πŸ™‚
