During the past few years, my sister, Nancy, and I have made it a practice to take each other out for our birthdays.
This time it was her turn to take me out for my February birthday. Sometimes it takes us awhile to find a date that suits both of us.
I love this picture of her, as she doesn’t usually smile for pictures, yet I often see her with this kind of smile – until I focus a camera on her.
I was doing test photos for the waitress who took the next shot, so I think Nancy didn’t realize that I was taking a picture, and was laughing at our conversation.

We had a great waitress who divided an Eggs Benedict meal and put a fresh fruit dish into two dishes.
We had so much fun – we always do when we are together – and drank lots of coffee.
I am so grateful that God gave me a sister.
My three brothers are the best – but they don’t understand “lady things”. 🙂
Hah! Did you wear the same color on purpose? Your sister should smile for photos — she has a lovely smile! How great that you have a sister that you can get together with (mine lives in Europe). And that looks like my favorite kind of breakfast!
