Enjoying Suet
Maybe this robin couldn’t find worms in our cold frozen ground on this windy March day. I purposefully keep the suet feeder close to a kitchen window, so I get a good view of the birds who enjoy it.

Friday Afternoon, March 13 We shared one of our favorites – the Olive Garden salad. We had the cutest waitress with a great sense of humor. In this photo she is putting grated cheese on Marcy and Cookie’s entrees. My Olive Garden favorite – Fettuccini Alfredo and broccoli. Marcy, Cookie (Emma), and I have been […]
Thursday Evening, March 12 at Shady Maple Banquet Center We always look forward to this annual banquet – for a variety of reasons. We meet good friends, eat delicious food, and listen to interesting facts from staff and testimonies from those who are going through or have gone through the program. Information from The Potter’s […]
Thursday, March 12 We have this area near the garage that has become an irritation to us. There are two tree stumps and a lot of vines there. In a few weeks it would have been pretty with blooming periwinkles, but there are other vines there as well which sometimes includes poison ivy (Cerwin doesn’t […]

Wednesday Evening, March 11 We enjoyed three days of rather warm weather – especially Monday and Tuesday, when we worked in the yard – then a cold front came through with wind and rain. The above picture is not stars but rain drops. It became so windy that I opened the back garage door to […]
Wednesday, March 11 On Tuesday, after a day of picking up hickory nuts, putting them in a wheelbarrow, and pushing the filled wheelbarrow a bit uphill to the woodlot behind our house, Cerwin said it was time to get a trailer to pull behind his lawnmower for this kind of lawncare. On Wednesday morning I […]
We are especially pleased to see plump silky catkins on our weeping pussy willow tree this year because it was a very cold winter and it is located on the north side of our house. We planted this tree two years ago in memory of our granddaughter Hannah who died suddenly on July 4, 2023. […]
Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9:00 am This was the beautiful welcome sign as we entered the narthex of our church. The coffee, tea, and parfait bar I arrived early to get photos before the area was full of ladies. Brieanna was putting the finishing touches to the spritzer and parfait bar. Fruit and tea […]
Last week we thought we would never get out of the many days of cold temperatures, rain and fog. Yesterday and today were warm and delightful. We spent both days working in our yard.
This year Cerwin and I hosted 15 people for our church’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner on Sunday, March 1. Yes, you see 16 plates. Cerwin sat through most of the meal. He always helps when I need him. I sat at the far end of the table after I was finished serving. I invited […]

Saturday Morning, February 28 Jere is our third child and youngest son. I always look forward to this birthday breakfast. Since it was the last day of February, I teased him that he almost missed my birthday month. 🙂 I got one egg over light, a few slices of bacon, an English muffin, and a […]
