A Robin and Something to Ponder
This robin seems to enjoy our feeders, which surprised me. In all the years that we’ve had birdfeeders, I think this is the first time we had a robin choose our feeders over worms in the grass. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
A Field of Sheep and the 23rd Psalm
~~~ New Living Translation ~~~ We traveled past this field of sheep the other week on the way home from the community of Lampeter. The words from Psalm 23 were in the background of my mind as I got out of the car, watched and took pictures. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I […]
~~~ Saturday, March 23 ~~~ What fun to have lunch and great conversation with friends. Left to Right: Cerwin, Gary, Merle, Rita and Orpha as we waited on our lunch at Brickerville House. Merle and Rita were on their home to Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, from a winter vacation in Florida. Gary, Orpha, Cerwin and […]

Celebrating Our Friend’s 84th Birthday
~~~ Thursday, March 21 ~~~ What fun to take our friends Cookie and Gene out for his 84th birthday brunch. We have been friends since our children were small and they were brand new Christians. Probably fifty years. He is comfortable with Kountry Kitchen, so that is what we chose for him. My Eggs Benedict […]
A Meeting of Crows and Something to Ponder
I’m not sure what they were planning, but their meeting was very loud. Some arrived and others flew away. Then, just like that, there was a very loud cawing sound and they all left. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
New Growth and Something to Ponder
If you follow my blog, you may remember the Ladies’ Fellowship Brunch on March 2, where each lady was given a small pack of seeds and potting soil for planting. Mine was Cosmos (mixed) flower seeds. I planted mine several days later, then about a week after that I began seeing tiny sprouts of flowers […]
Babysitting Great Grandchildren
~~~ Monday, March 18 ~~~ We always look forward to having Nate and Abby’s children for a few hours every now and then. It’s the first time we had their youngest – Renee – for a few hours. She was here a few weeks ago but was sleeping in her car seat when she arrived […]

Inge’s Memorial Flowers
We have two memorial areas in the back part of our yard – before the woodsy area – to remember three of Inge’s cats who went on to their eternal reward. We were glad to do that for her, so she has a place to go each spring when her crocus and daffodils bloom.
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Something to Ponder
I enjoy watching these because they almost always eat upside down. This one is a female, because she does not have red throat feathers. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
