Monday, February 24 was a cold winter day – a good time to make a batch of ham and bean soup. After making it in a Dutch oven, I put it into a crock pot to stew all afternoon. It was delicious. This is a favorite soup of ours. The Recipe:

I first noticed her on the sunny side of the birdfeeder she had chosen. Because the feeder wire was a bit of obstruction I went to the window on her shady side. I see the Sapsuckers now and then, but not as often as the Downies. ~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~

I found this pretty card in our church mailbox last Sunday, February 16. I love this blessing. I am still waiting for an idea on how to use this $10.00. I have a sticker note on it, so it doesn’t get used for gas or taxes. 🙂
