Snow Plows & A Pretty Sunset

| Sky, Winter

Friday, February 20 One mailbox down! Apparently a snowplow hit it during the night. Cerwin was able to repair it without much trouble. Later in the morning a front end loader came through to push the snow farther into the field in preparation for another snow storm. A regular snow plow followed to make sure the […]

Sunrise Extraordinaire

| Sky

Tuesday Morning, February 3 It was difficult to overlook a morning sky like this. It lit up every window that was facing east. It reached every area of the eastern sky. It didn’t last long. So I enjoyed it as long as possible. It truly was a sunset extraordinaire. A morning blessing from the Lord. At no charge.

Sunday Sunrise

Sunday, January 11 It’s especially delightful to see a beautiful sunrise on a Sunday morning while enjoying a cup of coffee. We do our best to rest and be refreshed in our walk with the Lord on Sundays – and being a member of a church that encourages this is quite helpful. In Sunday school we focused on the […]

One evening I noticed a beautiful sunset about to happen as we drove to Landis Homes to visit Cerwin’s Mother, and took pictures of the process as we traveled. The sky continually changed as we went over hills and around corners.

Each of us wake up to beautiful sunrises on many mornings during our lifetime. They are available for each person to enjoy from God free whether we are rich or poor live in a mansion or a hut for our pleasure. They are there whether we appreciate them or not. The Lord is a great God, and […]

Afternoon Visit With Mother & A Beautiful Sunset

Tuesday, November 25 Today I knew which entrance to use when visiting Mother in Oregon House at Landis Homes. I didn’t need the ambulance to show me which door to enter. 🙂 We like the sign that the nurses made for her – attached to the wardrobe in her room. Cerwin’s brother, Elvin, and sister Velda […]

Monday Evening, September 22 It is difficult for me to not go outside with my camera when the sky is pretty. As I crossed the road to get away from the power lines, I noticed the neighbor’s soybeans glowing in the evening sun. This field is not quite dry enough for harvest. To add to the […]

Tuesday, September 2 This is a follow-up to last nights post. Shortly after Kristen brought the apple dumplings, I noticed a yellow glow outside and thought, “There must be a rainbow.” And this is what I saw from our living room window. Tuesday, July 8 I was in a photo-taking mode (which is fairly normal) as we drove through Lititz to visit Cerwin’s mother. April 1 ~ Waxing Crescent Moon

I love to see the moon on a dark clear night. The moon phase calendar tells me it was a “waxing crescent” moon on April 1. 4% of it was visible and it was 2 days after new moon. Though the moon is ever-changing to our eyes with its waxing and waning, it is still the […]

The other morning I was drawn to the outside when I saw the yellow glow of the sunrise, but what captured my attention was the sun’s reflection on the snow. It looked like a pool of gold. A Lot Of Orange In The Sky

The sky was brilliantly orange on Thursday morning, January 9. The sun looked like a big yellow torch as it came over the eastern horizon. This dark-eyed junco kept an eye on me at I watched it eat breakfast. The evening sky was also a brilliant orange. I think God must have an invisible paintbrush.

My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
