We love you! Great Grandpa and Great Grandma High
Thursday, January 7 I love a beautiful winter day.
Wednesday, January 6 I really like this stay-at-home-time-in-our-life, but it makes me grateful for out-of-the-house dates. While I enjoyed my mint tea, I looked around the restaurant for photo opportunities. The haddock sandwich “jumped” right off the menu at me so I didn’t look any further. This is the half I took home. It was […]
Sunday Afternoon, January 3 This is when I hope we have birdseed and suet that is old and needs to be eaten. 🙂 Maybe they will just fight and not eat so much suet. At least it was a short-lived invasion and they were soon on their way again.
Sunday, January 3 This is what our property looked like on the first Sunday morning of the year. It was not enough sleet to cause issues on the road, so we were able to get to church. Some who come to church from north of us had to be more cautious.
Saturday, January 2 It was cold outside, but beautiful to be inside and see the beauty around us. I took these pictures about 11:00 am. The sun was so bright that I could not photograph it. It’s in the center of the cloud in the upper center. By evening the sun put on another beautiful […]
Cerwin and I did not stay up until midnight on New Year’s Eve, but went to bed early and woke up early – long before the sun came up in the eastern sky on the first day of 2021. A pretty sunrise on the first day of a new year gives me hope – even […]
Tuesday, December 29 The day began with an extra ordinary sunrise. It was like seeing fire in the sky. Later I noticed the most ordinary of sparrows – a House Sparrow – in its winter coat, which is less brilliant than spring and summer. When I watch one of these, I am always reminded of […]
I love watching wrens. One was going for the sunflower suet, the other preferred mealy worm suet. I am grateful for the interesting birds that come to our suet and birdseed.
These pictures were from Friday, December 18, and not today. Today started cold and rainy. As I am posting this during the late afternoon, it is cool and sunny. I woke up early, which is normal for me. I like to go to bed early and get up early. 4 to 5 AM is my […]
It was beautiful to see that it had snowed several inches during the night. The birds were having trouble finding their black oil sunflower seeds. I felt sorry for them and threw a bunch of sunflower seeds on the snow. After his morning coffee, Cerwin opened the driveway before going to the TFC Global office […]
