Saturday Evening, February 21

She loved her #3 balloon from Aunt Lydia.

Supper was the first thing on the evening’s agenda. Delicious homemade pizza by Abby, fruit salad, and a 7-layer salad from Grandma Luanne. (Nathaniel’s mom).

Renee seemed to feel a bit awkward when she became the center of attention as we sang Happy Birthday to her.

She didn’t want to blow out her candles and asked her dad (Nathaniel) to do it. He waited a while and pretended to be blowing, thinking she would join him, but she didn’t. 🙂

She giggled when he blew them out.

These three (Garth, Renee, and Natalie) used a folding chair as a boat (rocking back and forth) saying they were going to the North Pole.

The first present she opened was a wrap-around cat pillow which Grandma Luanne made from an idea she saw – I think on Pinterest. She is incredibly talented in sewing.

Garth loved its comfort.

Luanne eventually ended up with the gift pillows on her lap.

Renee got a tiny tea set which she loved.

She loved her stuffed Highland Cow from Grammy Diane.

She got several fancy things to wear so the girls can have a tea party – necklace, fan, gloves.

Eventually Natalie and Jazzy joined Grandma Luanne on top of the animals.

Enjoying a “water” tea party.

Garth was more into wearing his siblings to-large-for-him shoes. 🙂
Three-year-old birthday parties are so much fun.
Happy 3! It looks like a great party! I love the creativity of using a chair to sail to the north pole — but it sounds as if the kids didn’t need to go to the north pole right now if they were looking for snow!
I told them they better get their coats if they were going to the North Pole. 🙂
Loved that cat pillow! Does she take orders? 🙂

I love her creativity. The stuffing was from an old couch cushion.
