I looked out our window when I heard the sound of airbrakes and noticed this rig from Nolt Spreading. In this photo the driver is unhooking the trailer from the truck as he prepares to spread lime on the field across the road from us.

Lime is spread on fields to improve fertility of the soil and neutralize the soils acidity.

Within minutes a Martin Water Conditioning representative came to do the yearly maintenance on our water treatment and filtration system. We appreciate Martin’s servicemen and their knowledge of the systems. This year our system need a bit more maintenance than usual.

The day reminded me of the value of home and field maintenance – or maintenance of anything in life, including our body and soul – as everything in this life decays and fades without maintenance.
