Our Updated Bathroom

I took a few pictures of what our bathroom has looked like since 1967 when we built the house. We changed a few things like the window dressing – from curtain to venetian blind to solar blind and of course we changed a few other things, like decorations and towel colors. đŸ™‚ Our toilet was also blue. A new white one was installed sometime during those years.

That all began to change when Rohrer Bros backed into our driveway on the snowy morning of February 13.

By the end of the day, they removed the 56-year-old blue-speckled tiles and bathtub.

Dustan (our grandson-in-law) and his brother Blaine.

The next day they began the process of installing our new walk-in shower.

Our old countertop was also removed.

This is what the bathroom looked like at the end of day 2.

On day three Blaine began the process of applying drywall to make our walls look perfect. After the first day, the outlines of the old tiles were still visible.

By this time, we were able to use the shower by using our old shower curtain.

Blaine came back for an hour or two during the next few days to apply drywall, then let it dry until the next day. He did that until the wall was perfect.

By early the next week the walls were perfect and ready for paint – a light beige.

The finished product is so nice and beautiful.

Thank you, Dustan and Blaine, for making sure everything was perfect – from drywalling to appliances and plumbing.

Rohrer Bros (which also includes a brother Corey) are the BEST.

For fun, I put a few before and after pictures next to each other.

We feel like we have a new bathroom – and we do.
