Don't Let Ordinary be Ordinary

Thursday Evening, December 12

This is what captured my attention – just before 5:30 pm – and caused me to reach for my Nikon and walk outside on a cold evening.

I stood at the end of our driveway awestruck by the beauty of the sunset.

As I moved my camera to the south, I lost the glow of the sunset, but could still see the orange, pink and purple in the sky.

I also noticed the beauty of the snow that still remained on the hillside fields that faced north.

As I turned back toward the house I heard the sound of a small plane approaching from the east and soon located it as it flew overhead.

What you see each day may be ordinary, but don’t let it be ordinary.
