Mark and Diane’s Family

Saturday, March 31

You may remember that I posted this picture – for prayer – on Sunday, April 1, because our son-in-law’s father and mother (center) were in a car accident, and as a result his dad, Roy Myers, passed away.

We have this picture because Nsimba and Elizabeth were in their area for a wedding – and stopped in to say hi to them just a few hours before the accident.

Mark’s mom, Joanne (second from left) is healing slowly from a broken hip and leg and other bruises. She was not able to attend the funeral, but by then was aware that he had died. They took photos and videos to take to her. There will be a celebration of life later, when she is well enough to attend.

Saturday Morning, April 7

As a result of the funeral, Mark and Diane’s entire family was all in the same place at the same time for the first time since Nsimba and Elizabeth’s wedding in November 2016. Hezekiah lives in Tennessee, Mark, Diane, Nsimba, Elizabeth, and Hannah live in Maine. The others live in Pennsylvania.

As a result of everyone being here, we hosted a brunch for them (the day after the funeral) and invited our other children and grandchildren.

Notice the blue tarp between our garage and the back room. Nsimba and Elizabeth’s bedroom is behind the tarp. After they left, it was Josiah’s bedroom. We do adapt at our house. πŸ™‚

Jesse was in the mood to play a game and recruited Josiah, Hezekiah and Grandpa to help him. He had fun learning to play Qwirkle.

Jesse and Josiah – our youngest and oldest grandsons. I notice that I missed getting the bottom of the quote on Jesse’s shirt. That would have been appropriate for this picture. “I’m just here to annoy you.” πŸ™‚

Diane and I wanted a picture of the Myers family. These are two of the best.

Abby, Nathaniel, Anthony, Nsimba,Β Elizabeth, Mark, Diane,Β Josiah, Hannah, Lydia andΒ Hezekiah. Those highlighted in bold are their children. (Somebody asked, so I did it that way.)

We love them!
