The events benefit Children’s Miracle Network.

Shortly after getting the chapel set up, Deb and Roy arrived with warm sweet rolls.

They stayed for awhile and visited with some of their friends, then Deb and I enjoyed the auction while the men manned the chapel.

After Roy and Deb left, I walked around the grounds to look for some interesting photos.

It is easy to find pretty pictures at a truck show.

I always like to say hi to my favorite Kenworth salesman, Bill, and I see I also captured a picture of Bob in the background – my favorite salesman from Trans Equipment.

Need a pretty steering wheel?

These would get your attention on the road.

If I had to choose a favorite truck at this show, this one would win, just because of…

…the name on the door.

There were pretty trucks everywhere.

And lots of shiny stuff.

Also a wide variety of paint schemes and brand of trucks.

Another “usual” at local truck shows is seeing Don Hollinger (who writes for TFC’s Highway News & Good News) talking to drivers.

He even has a gear-shifter.

A few of the next age group were playing with their own “rigs.”

Now that’s a full golf cart!

We are grateful that the organizers give us a prime spot at the show.

There are times we are not busy…

…and other times it seems that each of us (Chaplain Jake, Volunteer Chaplain Bob, and Cerwin and I are each busy – visiting with someone or showing them the chapel.

By the time we left (about 4:00 PM) the rigs were arriving for the evening’s activities – drag racing and truck pulls.

One of these years we are going to stay, but it always seems that we have something else on our schedule, plus we have to pull the chapel out to make room for evening activities.
