Don’t Nurse a Grudge

I recently read about a woman who was struggling to get over being swindled out of money by a business partner. After some time she went to a counselor and shared her story. She was expecting the counselor to work with her over a period of time with something like a seven or twelve-step program.

Instead, the counselor said to her, “I want you to choose a day when you are going to be over it.”

This woman said that challenge has been more valuable in life than her PHD.

This is my two cents: In my years of studying complaining and bitterness, I have learned that bitterness causes more health, pain and psychiatric issues than almost all other issues put together.

So why wouldn’t you want to choose today as the day when you are going to be over it.
