It was a warm, humid morning in Minnesota, so Doris and I decided to go to the strawberry patch early.
You can see that Doris (to the left of the greenhouse) got there a few minutes ahead of me – because I was taking pictures.
Three hours later we had ten large buckets of delicious strawberries.
They had customers coming for some, others were eaten fresh, and Doris was going to make the rest into jam (for sale).
Their red raspberries were just beginning to ripen.
Doris knows that these are a favorite of mine, and told me to eat what I could find. I found six. (Oh, yum.)
I took a few other pictures around their yard.
Bob’s ice fishing house.
A small portion of their wood supply.
While we picked strawberries, Bob and Cerwin worked in the shop – and later went to a town (45 minutes away) for lumber that had just been delivered for Bob.
Bob is a skilled custom cabinet maker and owns Elegance in Wood.
Cerwin asked me to take a photo of this nice buck that Bob shot the other year.
I expect that Japheth stitched this for Bob, because Japheth owns A Stitch in Time, Inc. https://www.facebook.com/astitchintimeinc
Their yarrow was beautiful.
We were glad that the strawberries were picked, because it was a rainy afternoon and evening.
We closed the day – and our last evening with Bob and Doris – by going to the first night of Bible school at Kitchi Pines.
I was challenged by these words from the speaker.
“What if Jesus really meant every word He said?”
Love your enemies.
If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Another thing he said challenged me:
Can you be a follower of Christ and not follow Him?
