This is why I am slightly “jealous” of people who get to see beautiful sunrises each morning. Notice what we see – about the middle of the picture. Part of the blessing of living on the southwest side of a woodlot. 🙂
We will see partial sunrises in the winter when the sun is in a different location in the sky – and the leaves have fallen from the trees. I am looking forward to that.
Sunsets are often more beautiful in the direction opposite from where the sun is setting — I wonder if that effect holds true for sunrises. I would want to turn at the peak of the sunrise and look to the northeast from where you were standing when you took this picture.
That would be more trees – even a mountain. 🙂
