We rarely miss our local farm show unless the weather is bad. This year the weather was nice and Cerwin was gifted a $10 bill to spend on food – from his parttime job with DHIA – so show their support for the Farm Show.

We each got a cheesesteak. They were incredibly delicious.

Our next stop was the milk shake stand. When we headed toward this stand, Cerwin asked why we were going in this direction. (He had not yet seen the sign.) I knew where it was, but also mentioned, “It usually has the longest lines.” šŸ™‚ We shared one delicious vanilla milk shake.

We had another reason for being here this year. We learned a few days earlier that our great grandson Anthony had entered a Lego contest and won first place in his age and class category.

It took us a while to find it because there were A LOT of entries in many categories.

When we noticed the variety of categories, it was easier to narrow down his train.

The construction had to be self-designed without the help of a kit.

Congratulations, Anthony!

We didn’t stay very long because I wasn’t feeling great – with the aches and signs of a cold coming on in my body. However, I didn’t fail to notice the beautiful sky as we walked to our car.

PS: I did spend most of the weekend one my recliner, taking some cold meds, elderberry juice and drinking Rooibos tea. Today, Tuesday, I feel much better and have a kettle of homemade potato soup on the stove for supper. I don’t often get sick, so this was a good reminder on how good it is to feel well most of the time. I am blessed that this was short-lived.
