Marlin & Nancy’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday Evening, July 29

You may remember that I gave a sampling of pictures from my sister and brother-in-law’s celebration the day we left for Belgium. Now we are back in routine, and I finally am taking time to go through my whole set of pictures.

Nancy asked if I would take pictures so they have them for their photo memories.

Three of the dresses were hanging near a memory table. One of the pink dresses was mine. I was a gift receiver.

Closeup so you can see the pattern of her dress.

Marlin and Nacncy greeting guests.

A delicious meal was provided by Sei Catering. They brought the food which was served by Marlin and Nancy’s daughters.

Enjoying the meal.

Cerwin getting soft ice cream.

Their daughter Amy creates many interesting things for dessert. This is cupcakes in a jar.

Their son-in-law Larry and grandson Regan found a quiet corner to talk and watch people.

We went outside the building to get some posed pictures they requested.

With their four daughters. Chelsey (right) thought she should leave space between her and Amy because she is 14 years younger. 🙂

The sun came out behind a cloud about the time we added the sons-in-law.

We moved to the other side of the building to avoid the sun. Back: Larry, Jason, Kevin and Jared. Center: Karen, Melissa, Amy and Chelsey.

Marlin and Nancy have twelve grandchildren and one on the way, plus one great-grandchild. They couldn’t all be there, so a grandchild photo was postponed until everyone can be in the same location.

People were enjoy fellowship when we went inside again.

The celebration was a drop-in, so people were coming and going all evening.

I love celebrations – especially when they involve friends and family.
