The pallbearers were Hannah’s two brothers, brother-in-law and friends.

Putting her casket on the back of a pickup truck. She loved big, noisy pickup trucks.

Burial procession. The green tent is the location of her burial spot. She would like that it is overlooking a farm.

Gathering for the burial service.

Her dad Mark prayed two versions of the Lord’s Prayer and blew a shofar. The audience sang two hymns.

Hannah’s parents invited people to choose flowers from a large bouquet – to lay on the casket or take home.

The two adults placing flowers on the casket are Hannah’s boss, Andy Bisson and his wife.

Several people noticed a swarm of dragonflies above the tent. They were still there when the tent was removed. Someone looked up the significance of dragonflies at a burial site. There are several meanings, most from other religions that are meaningless to us.

We most liked the Native American meaning as Native Americans used to live in this area.

In Native American culture, these beautiful, winged creatures symbolize hope in a time of grief. They’re a physical sign that someone you love has peacefully passed into the spiritual realm and is content and happy.

We didn’t need dragonflies to let us know that we have hope in seeing Hannah again and that she is in the care of the Lord. But it was a fun thing to happen at her burial.

About half of the group went to Wales Brethren Church for a late lunch while the rest stayed behind to see the casket being lowered into the grave – and to help cover it with earth. That worked out nice because the first group was finished eating and ready to vacate the tables when the second group arrived.

There was some extra seating outside and a few went upstairs to the sanctuary.

The meal was provided by Hannah’s employer, L&P Bisson & Sons (https://lp-bisson-sons-inc.business.site/ (hamburgers) and friends from the Wales Brethren Church. The Kellers Keller’s – “I’ll Bring Dessert. (from the Lewiston Brethren Church) were in charge of serving the meal.

The Cowtails were provided by friends from the Sanford Fellowship Brethren Church.

Hamburgers, meat and cheese tray, mac and cheese, vegetables, plus chocolate or strawberry milk, coffee, water and cookies.

Thank you to everyone who provided and served the meal.

We were blessed by your love and care of our Myers’ Family.
