It had been a while since I was at this church, so I was looking forward to seeing the mothers and daughters who came to this brunch about half an hour from our house.

The basement was beautifully and colorfully decorated.

The beautiful welcome bouquet was a gift for me.

I love the sight and scent of lilacs.

The individually potted flowers were a gift for each woman to take home.

Gifts for the children. There were a lot of little girls and even a boy or two.

Lois gave instructions and welcomed everyone. I was delighted to have our daughter Diane, granddaughter, Abby and great granddaughter Renee with me. You can see them just above the podium.

Following the delicious brunch (egg casseroles, French toast/apple casserole, cinnamon rolls, orange juice and probably a few things I missed listing, it was my turn to speak.

I used the same subject that I did at White Oak Church – Celebrating Godly Femininity.

We wanted a picture of our four generations: Rene, Abby, Diane and Me.

The younger three generations.

It was a great morning.
