Anthony, Jasmine and Natalie. Anthony is preparing water balloons.

Our day started with three great grandchildren in our house, because they had an overnight stay with Grammy. After breakfast and morning chores, Diane took them outside for a water balloon battle.

Anthony was ready to “fire” them at Grammy. 🙂

It didn’t take Diane long to say, let’s play catch instead of throwing them at each other.

Jazzy was not into getting wet.

Anthony tricked Diane a bit with this pretend toss.

It was just too tempting to get Grammy wet. 🙂

Grammy caught that one.

Oops, Anthony missed it.

Lunchtime brought out Cerwin’s birthday gift for the day. Pretzel sandwiches from an R & K fundraiser. Diane bought them from one of her cousins (a niece of ours).

It was our first time to have pretzel sandwiches. They are especially good when warmed in the microwave.

It was after the girls went home when I learned Diane had spent a bit of time each day washing our windows. She was able to keep it secret for most of the week because she could do them from inside (most of our windows fold out), but on this day she had to do the front windows.

She did most of them when I was not paying attention to what she was doing, or after I had gone to bed. Cerwin knew what she was doing. THANK YOU, DIANE. What a wonderful gift.

Anthony stayed an extra night and spent some time playing his flute. He is an incredibly creative kid and is always learning about a new subject. Right now he is learning about the Native American Indian people who lived in our country and in our area. As he watched some videos, he noticed that someone was often playing a flute-like instrument when they did their festive dances.

Cerwin enjoyed celebrating at home on the 9th day of his birthday.
