Day 2 of Cerwin’s Birthday celebration began when our granddaughter Diana brought their two boys (Bennett and Waylon) for a great grandpa/grandma visit. Diane was glad to be here to see them.

It was a beautiful day, so we took the toys and a blanket outside.

Picnic in the garage.

After inviting Diana to stay for lunch, we invited Abby to bring her children as well. Abby had minor surgery on one leg the day before – blood vessel issue after giving birth to Renee. That is one of the reasons Diane is here from Maine. She has been helping Abby with the children also in the house and with their flowerbeds.

My favorite story from Diane’s time of weeding flowerbeds around their house: she cut a toe and needed a Band-Aid but thought she should wash it first since her feet were covered with dirt. So she kept on weeding. Before long Jazzy brought her a small tub of water from the frog pond. It certainly wasn’t the cleanest water, but it was the thought that mattered. 🙂 I love the innocence of children.

Bennett’s favorite part of the day was when Anthony taught him how to pump air into a ball.

Jazzy is waiting to pump up her purple ball.

A group picture before Diana, Bennett and Waylon left for Diana’s afternoon school bus run. Bennett was not in a mood to be photographed. He didn’t want to go home.

Cerwin loved “day 2” of his 10-day birthday celebration.
