Most of you in the United States are experiencing frigid weather – as are we.

Our lowest temperature last week was 7. Others nearby had -4 or -5 degrees. We are protected by the mountain behind us, so our temperature is always a bit higher than those who live only a half mile from us.

Sometimes I look outside during a cold windy day and marvel that there are still a few leaves on our trees.

A tree outside our guest room window has one tattered leaf left on it – even after two windy days.

I want to be that tough when it comes to following Jesus and living a godly life like he did.
