Colton and Ashlea’s Wedding

Sunday Evening, October 16

This is where Colton and Ashlea braided three cords to signify the Bible verse: Ecclesiastes 4:12 A threefold cord is not quickly broken. God, Colton and Ashlea

Parents Prayer

Colton and Ashlea came back to greet and dismiss each person.

The house at the wedding venue

This little guy – a grandson of the owners of the farm – escorted anyone to the barn who was not able to walk up the various levels of the yards and driveway to the reception.

After taking these ladies to the reception, I hired him to take me to the barn – just because he is so cute. He said he is one of the middle grandchildren. If I remember correctly, there are 22 grandchildren.

I didn’t take many group pictures, because the photographers took those, but I wanted a few family pictures. This is the Dull family – Ashlea’s dad’s family.

The Beckers – my sister and brother-in-law’s family. Karen (bride’s mother in pink is Marlin and Nancy’s oldest daughter.)

The Becker grandchildren

The younger sisters wanted family photos, so I gladly complied

Marlin and Nancy’s second daughter Melissa, her husband Jason and their family.

Amy, their third daughter, her husband, Kevin, and their girls.

The youngest daughter, Chelsey, her husband, Jared, and their children. Isaac was in the wedding, carrying the sign. “Here comes your forever.”

They wanted a photo of just the two of them.

I took advantage of the photographers taking pictures of the wedding party at the lake.

There were four photographers. Two took stills and two took videos.

While photos were being taken, there was a lot going on in the bottom of the barn and patio level. There were hors d’oeuvres here and outside they were roasting smores, visiting and playing cornhole.

Sisters. The big sister was maid of honor.

There were blankets for when the evening got chilly.

At the right time, people began gathering for the reception in the upper part of the barn.

The bridal party table

Best man speaking.

I started running out of light for my camera and didn’t want to get closer and risk getting in the way of the photographers who were usually in front of me so experienced with a variety of settings.

Bride and Groom dance

I finally ended up with black and white because the photos came out sharper.

So ended a beautiful day for us. There were sparklers and a few other things, but we did not stay that late.
