One of the fun things that happens when we take grandchildren out for their birthday meal, is that we get introduced to new restaurants.

This one is near Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster – and quickly became a new favorite.

Lauree and Nate

We arrived early to make sure our reservation was secure and were seated next to a window and the walkway where our grandchildren walked by when they arrived.

I almost missed Dustan and Jenna.

They chose soft pretzels for our appetizer. We each got half a pretzel.

Not very good lighting with a window in the background, but you can get an idea of our setting.

My lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing. I told our waiter that I wanted an extra portion of blue cheese. They complied. 🙂 I also had Kennett Square Mushroom Soup. Delicious!

Cerwin’s sausage and mashed potatoes

We shared desserts – only the ladies ordered. 🙂

This meal was to celebrate Lauree and Jenna’s birthdays.

Oh, what a fun evening with four of our favorite people.

We were surprised at how full the restaurant was on a Monday evening. There was a waiting line when we left.

The sun was setting during our half-hour drive home, closing a delightful evening.

By the time we were on the homestretch – near home, the sun had set.
