A Delightful Evening

Saturday Evening, January 22

I was mesmerized by the beautiful lavender and pink sky to our east as we drove to Lititz Family Cupboard to meet Cerwin’s siblings.

Then, when I turned my head to the west, I saw this beautiful sunset.

Left to Right: Cerwin, Velda, Patti, Bailey, Peyton, Elvin, Mel, Bob and Doris

The evening continued to be delightful as we enjoyed supper and visited with Cerwin’s siblings. It was a last get-together before Bob and Doris headed back to Minnesota – a few days later. The girls at the far end of the table are Elvin and Pat’s granddaughters. They were staying with their grandparents while their parents were away for an anniversary weekend.

By the end of the meal and conversation, Bob came up with one of his usual stories/tricks by asking Mel to put his two index fingers on the table. Mel was suspicious because of previous actions by Bob – cooperated. 🙂

Bob said, “Okay, it’s time to go home.” I guess Mel will have to figure out on his own how to get the glass of water off of his fingers. 🙂

Now, if you know Bob, you know he would never, ever do that. He just loves fun and is a kind and thoughtful friend and brother-in-law.
