Leaves, Birds, Helicopter & Moon

The coloring of the shellbark trees finally made it to the bottom of the trees.

The trees are beginning to loose their leaves from the very top of the branches. It won’t be many days before our lawn is covered with leaves.

The Juncos are back – a sure sign of Fall.

As I watched this house finch nibble at the round suet feeder, I realized that it was time to go to Tractor Supply for some round suet. About that time I got an email from Tractor Supply with a coupon for free dog food – 5 lbs. I checked with our daughter Deb to see if she uses dog food for rescued raccoons and skunks. She does. She also uses it to feed the variety of wild critters (skunks, raccoons and opossums) that come to their feeders during the night. I quickly went to the store – before the dog food ran out. It said “while supplies last”.

While enjoying the fall weather I heard a helicopter over head and located it in the southern sky.

Probably a routine military exercise from Indiantown Gap.

The moon was beautiful as I enjoyed the nighttime air before going to bed.

I love living in the countryside where I can easily enjoy nature.
