Bluegrass Birthday Party

Saturday Evening, June 13

We were honored to be invited to Dwight Fahnestock’s bluegrass birthday party and hear the Werner Family Band.

Dwight was clearly enjoying the birthday party in his own back yard.

Henry Werner (background) is the father of three group members and usually plays bass, but is currently waiting for surgery on a rotator cuff – delayed due to the virus.

There were 30-40 family and friends who enjoyed the beautiful evening with Dwight and Rose.

The Werner Family Band is one of the most delightful new bluegrass groups I have heard in awhile.

Three of these young men are Werner brothers. Gideon (banjo), Stephen (fiddle), and Silas (mandolin). Brett Beiler is on guitar. I don’t remember the name of the young man on bass. He is not listed on their home page, because he is filling in for Henry until his shoulder is healed following surgery. Thanks, Lisa (in my comments). The bass player is Brandon Fox.

You can hear them on Dwight’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dwight.fahnestock.7?fref=search&__tn__=%2Cd%2CP-R&eid=ARBNYPNLq3bVoZppIi0FfQfId6cvYIAWdbRusaLN7UJ9q1i2IdbvY4Ho4csirOPk__oapNjJesVpD1Gs

Dwight closed the evening by saying, “It was an epic evening and a dream come true – to see a bluegrass band on my patio.”
