The Birds of Mid-May

It was good to see Eastern Bluebirds again.

The hummingbirds are often the first bird I see in the morning and the last one in the evening.

It looks like it is time to refill the orange with grape jelly as the oriole is working hard to find some.

Thank you for the jelly.

I appreciate the jelly too.

I don’t usually see the Downy Woodpecker at this feeder – right outside our kitchen window.

They are usually at the suet in the dogwood tree.

When we are gifted a nut mix with almonds, we often give them to the birds because they are too hard for our old teeth. The blue jays love them.

It’s fun to see a great variety of birds while we are spending so much of our days in the house. 🙂
