A Walk Around Our Yard on Easter Sunday Afternoon

Sunday, April 12

I don’t know what these perennials are called. It is a pretty ground cover.

PS: I just received and email from my friend Inge: “According to my landlady, that flower is called Lamium – we have it over here so I went to ask her what it’s called.” Thanks, Inge

Our azaleas are going to be pretty this year. At this point there are only a few buds.

The lily of the valley are just coming up.

Driveway flower bed

I always like to see the flowers that bloom in the area of our woods where we throw our yard trash.

The memory garden is still looking rather woodsy because we haven’t worked in it yet. However, ferns, hostas and other perennials come up looking pretty.

The garden tea bed

Our white dogwood tree (in the tea bed) is bursting with flowers that are just opening.

This is the tree we planted in memory of our grandson Elijah who died in May 1994 at the age of 5 months.

Patio tulips

I love the beauty of spring.
