Sunday School

Subject: Emmanuel – God with Us

Teacher: Dustan Rohrer (He chose his own subject instead of following the Sunday school lesson.)

You cannot out love our great God.

He does not love you based on your performance. That is difficult for us to understand at times, because we tend to not love people who are cruel and unkind.

His love is everlasting.

He delights in our love and fellowship.

Never forget: When we pray, we are praying to the Great I Am.

Worship Service

Minister: Carl Groff

Scripture: John 12:1-19

Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.

Only Jesus can set the captive free. The person who releases a prisoner from one of our country’s prisons can only open the prison door and set him free. He cannot set the person’s heart free.

Do we truly comprehend being set free from the penalty of sin? It is like a prisoner on death row – prepared to die – and someone comes and takes his place.

If we could see ourselves as God sees us, we would probably not like what we see.

The “Church” is made up of men and women, boys and girls who have been transformed by Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the only one who can heal a fractured heart.

Mary – in John 12 – reminds us that when a woman truly loves the Lord, she can change the world.

Mary teaches us that we don’t lose a thing when we take time out of our day to worship at the feet of Jesus.

Mary did what she could. God never asks more from anyone.

Thank God for Godly women. They make up a valuable part of every healthy church congregation.

Mary’s sister, Martha, reminds us that serving lovely meals and hospitality also please the Lord. He just doesn’t want us to spend more time on serving than in worshiping Him.

There are things in church life that need to be done and many of those things go without notice.

The world and the churches need servants.

Do we manifest the change Jesus has made in our lives by our worship and service?
