Singing on the Farm

Saturday, September 14 – 15th Annual Bluegrass Gospel

We have never been able to attend this local event, but this year the date was open – and it happened to be our anniversary.

It was a drizzly morning, but they are well prepared for any kind of day.

The Musser’s go to a lot of work to make this a delightful day.

The gospel/bluegrass singing starts on Friday evening – 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, but we didn’t arrive until Saturday morning – just before noon – when The Johnson Bently Band was singing. (The yellow chair on the right is mine.) 🙂

It was a delightful, relaxing day as we listened to The Churchmen, Collinsville, VA; Amazing Grass, Lebanon, PA; The Johnson Bentley Band, Due West, SC; Summit Hill, Strasburg, PA; The Miller Family, Woodburn IN; and Daniel & Emma Lynn Glick, Quarryville, PA.

Some people left before the evening session, so we moved our lawn chairs much closer to the stage.

By the evening session the tent was full and overflowing.

Singing I’ll Fly Away.

I am glad the day was open for us. We enjoyed meeting friends, eating food and just relaxing to great music.
