Springtime in Our Yard

Tuesday, April 9

The other week Inge asked if the flowers she planted at her cat’s graves were blooming. I went out back toward the woodlot to check. There were crocus and daffodils blooming.

I noticed that my “dad’s” daffodils were also blooming. They are in our memory garden behind the house.

He loved daffodils and planted a lot on the bank behind their house.

I got these from his large supply the year after he died.

They make me smile because they make me remember him.

There were also a few hyacinths.

The tiny violets (or Johnny Jump Ups) come up every spring in many areas of our woods.

There were a few early tulips when I took these pictures – nine days ago.

It looks like it is going to be a good year for tulips, so stay tuned for more tulip pictures.
