Nashville Chapel Maintenance

Tuesday Afternoon, November 6

Cerwin needed to make some minor repairs, hopefully to fix a major problem – a leak when it rains. He checked the roof and is pretty sure there is no problem there.

He prepared vent covers, because there have been problems with them at other chapels. The vents are necessary, but if not lightly covered, they allow rain to get inside when it is windy.

Measuring the placement of a vent cover.

He also caulked a few areas where it was necessary.

When I wasn’t helping with the ladder or supplies, I watched the activity around the truck stop.

Trucks were continually entering the fuel island and moving around the truck stop.

Chaplain Ralph soon arrived and helped with the things I had been doing.

Putting the ladder back to it’s usual (smaller) travel mode.

It was good to spend time with Ralph and get caught up on each others lives.
