Update on Cerwin’s Mother:

We (Cerwin’s siblings) have peace about giving the doctor permission to do an ECRP, a technique that combines the use of endoscopy and fluoroscopy to diagnose and treat certain problems of the biliary or pancreatic ductal systems.
Because she takes a blood thinner, the procedure cannot be done today.
Though there are risks with this scope procedure, surgery cannot be performed due to her fragile heart. The heart doctor said if we don’t take a chance on this scope procedure, Hospice must be contacted for pain management.
The surgeon is expecting to find a gall stone lodged in a place where it does not belong. This is causing problems with her liver and kidneys. If the scope can locate the stone, it can be moved to the intestine where it will pass out of her body.
Pray with us concerning this procedure and wisdom for her medical team. We, her family, are taking turns staying in the hospital with her – except at night. She had a bit of nausea and pain today, but was basically comfortable and in her normal state of humor and story-telling. We explained everything to her and she is also at peace concerning the procedure.
