Mountain House For The Weekend – Part 3 of 3

Sunday (Easter), April 5

1We all awoke to the shrieking of smoke alarms – 5:30 AM – because Jere was lighting a fire in the fireplace and had the flue closed a bit too tight.

We made sure to give him a lot of grief during the morning. 🙂

3 (1)Pretty wall decoration

3 (2)We were all slightly disappointed that none of our tempting treats had been touched by wildlife.

The only wildlife we saw all weekend was one noisy crow.

3 (3)We weren’t awake very long before we noticed eggs and other gifts around the room.

3 (4)We were surprised that the younger three boys did not notice them.

3 (7)After breakfast Jere gave instructions on how to match stickers on eggs with gifts. (I think that is how it was.)

3 (26)We had walkie talkies, so those in front warned us that there were deer to the right.

3 (27)Soon we heard, “What’s up with Dad and Mom?”

Cerwin said, “She’s trying to get a good picture of the deer.”

3 (28)Couldn’t resist getting a picture of this parked truck.

3 (29)Pretty barn.

3 (30)Kristen wanted a picture of this sign – for scrapbooking. (We were now leaving Potter County.)

4On the return trip we had Jared and Jesse in the back seat.

I enjoyed listening to several interesting conversations between them.

5Jesse was asking Jared questions about God and Heaven.

How old do you think people will be in Heaven?

Probably about thirty.

7 (1)Do you think there will be babies in Heaven, or will everyone be thirty?

I don’t know, I haven’t died yet.

6From Jesse when looking at the clouds: I bet God could build his Kingdom on a cloud if he wanted to.

Then they began looking for objects in the clouds. 🙂

7 (2)As we neared home, the skies cleared and there was no more snow.

It was a fabulous weekend.
