A Family Work Day ~ Memorial Day

Monday, May 26

Cleaning up the pavilion area is a family project on Memorial Day.

DSC_0506My brother Dale was the first one on duty. I had asked him if he would come early to help me get some weed eating done before the others arrived.

Since we had been in Maine for the week prior to this, I didn’t have time to get a head start on the weed eating this year.

It makes it easier (and safer) for the others to rake around the tables and fire pit area if we aren’t weed eating near them.

DSC_0508It was fun having Hezekiah here to help us.

DSC_0512The trash pile was high with branches and leaves.

DSC_0516This is just a small idea of the task ahead of us for the morning.

Notice the smile on Chris’ face. When Jenna saw me coming, she took her mom’s rake because she wanted to be working when I took the photo. Jenna had just arrived and didn’t have a rake yet. 🙂

DSC_0561I didn’t think about taking a photo at lunch time – our first official doggie roast and picnic at the pavilion.

Thanks everyone ~ especially Hannah and Heze who were just here for the day, before heading back to Maine on Tuesday morning.
