Friday February 6

We started the day at Brickerville House Restaurant for a brunch with several of my siblings. We get together close to the ladies’ birthdays each year.
For several years it was just the ladies, then last year we added the guys. It doesn’t always suit the men. Yesterday it was Cerwin and me, Dale and Dot, Nancy, and Brenda. It did not suit Clair and Kate, Marlin or Steve. We always have lots of fun and cover many subjects. 10 am is a good time because it is between breakfast and lunch which means the restaurant is not as full as close to mealtimes.
I chose Eggs Benedict and a chopped kale salad. It was delicious.

Afterwards Cerwin and I drove a few miles east to Esbenshade’s Greenhouse where I used a birthday discount coupon to buy this Anthurium. It adds color to our planter.

After Esbenshade’s, we went to Bomberger’s Store near Lititz, where I also had a birthday discount coupon. I usually use it to buy something for the birds. This year I bought a small bag of specialty seeds as a gift to them.

However, I found it funny when I watched the first sparrow check out the new seeds, it looked at it and moved on to the next feeder. π

After arriving at the second feeder, it stayed along the edge to eat from the old familiar black oil sunflower seeds.
Maybe I should have just stayed with black oil sunflower seeds. π
Sounds like a lovely way to celebrate your birthday! Keep celebrating! We enjoy your posts every day! β¦the way you share your life and photos is a fun way to keep up with your family! May God bless you with many more birthdays to share His love and your love and life this way.
P.S. I think the birds travel between your feeders and ours! We see the same birds almost every day!!! Our love to both of you!
Thank you!
It looks as if the birds enjoy your extended birthday along with hou!
It is kind of fun watching them pick around the new seeds which are unfamiliar to them.
