A Playdate with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma

Jade and Drake making truck deliveries.

I asked them where their dad was working and if they thought he needed anything. Jade quickly said, “Yes. We will deliver lightbulbs to him.”

Jade even followed her rig under the “bridge”.

Jenna relaxed and baby Harper slept while Jade, Drake and I prepared lunch.

Grilled cheese sandwiches were on the menu for this day. Jade buttered the bread and Drake put the cheese on each sandwich.

After lunch I asked Cerwin to take a picture of Harper and me. I often joke that since I am usually behind the camera the great grandchildren aren’t going to know they have a great grandma. 🙂

Time to go home for afternoon naps. Jenna and Harper.

Drake was interested in this birdfeeder – and cleaning out the old seeds.

Jade was hugging and petting her new pet turtle – a stone turtle in our patio flower bed. 🙂

I wanted them to pose in a patio chair, but they were too silly for posing.

We treasure these playdates. I told Jenna that they remind me of when we used to take her and other grandchildren to visit our mothers – often to play games or go for walks. She particularly remembered playing carpet ball with Great Grandma High and a fishing game with Great Grandma Hershey.
