Agape doesn’t take reservations, so we gave ourselves plenty of time on Route 30 East which is quite busy during holidays and the tourist season. It wasn’t too bad, so we arrived about thirty minutes early.

We were seated at a nice table where we waited for Dustan and Jenna. Cerwin ordered a glass of water and I ordered a mango spritzer infused with mint.

When I searched for my cell phone to let Jenna know that we were seated, I realized that I left it in the car, so I went outside to get it, then checked out the goats next door.

A chicken was scratching the dirt looking for grain the goats missed.

There was a family standing next to me putting money in a machine that gave them goat feed. They were feeding two mother goats and their babies, but I loved watching this one come running from an adjoining field when it heard the sound of the machine dispensing food. 🙂

I still had time to walk through the home decor store which is located in the same building as the restaurant.

I love the thought-provoking signs and items throughout the store.

Jenna and Dustan arrived right on time. This celebration was for her birthday. If you think Dustan looks like he had been in the sunshine, he was. He spent the past three days on our house roof. 🙂 They are the parents of Jade and Drake (who visited us a few days earlier) and expect our fourteenth great grandchild in mid-June.

Agape features smoked brisket, so most of us took advantage of that.

Cerwin’s brisket, mac and cheese and smoky baked beans. Jenna’s wrap and fries. I think she had chicken in her wrap.

My brisket salad was more brisket and fries than salad and was quite delicious. Dustan’s brisket and hamburger with fries.

We love these two grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed catching up on their lives.
