Spring is Moving Into Our Area

Even though today is cold and windy.

I took these pictures on March 9, but nothing has changed much because many of the days since then have been cold – keeping the blooms from opening.

I backed off a bit to show a wide shot. I still marvel that these crocuses were planted almost 50 years ago when my mother gave us 10 bulbs for our tenth wedding anniversary.

They always remind me of her because they bloomed for the first time in mid-March 1974 about the time she died from cancer complications.

Inge, these are daffodils at Barnabas and Timothy’s (cats) burial spot.

The hycinths are also preparing to bloom.

We are going to soon have a lot of daffodils in the patio flowerbed.

Springtime is an amazing season.
