Our first visit was with Cerwin’s Aunt Esther at Fairmount Homes Retirement Community. She is a sister to Cerwin’s dad.
We had a great visit including a few interesting moments when Cerwin told her some of his memories of her dad – his Grandpa High – and that reminded her of memories. I loved to listen to their memories.
After spending an hour with her, we went to visit Uncle Luke and Aunt Willamae. Luke is Cerwin’s uncle on the Sauder side of the family. They live in a cottage at Fairmount.
We asked their daughter Shirley if she would like to be included in a photo. She liked the idea.
They are easy and fun to visit. I think we were there about an hour and a half.
My goodness — Cerwin’s aunt and uncle look more like Cerwin’s age than their dad’s! I hope that is a good prognosis for a long life for Cerwin!
Luke is the youngest of the Sauder uncles. He is only a few years older than Cerwin. Esther is 92.
I am sure my folks enjoyed the visit!

No, we haven’t visited them, but we often see them at the Sauder lunch – every few months.
