Diane took us to Penn Cinema to see I Heard the Bells which was produced by Sight & Sound Films.

It was based on the song I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I will never listen to that song in the same way again – after learning how and why the poem was written.

Plus, some of the inside scenes were filmed at a mansion just a few miles from our place. The exterior scenes were also filmed in our area, but not quite as close, which made it especially interesting.

Thank you, Diane. It was an incredibly thoughtful Christmas gift.
